"To heal the planet we must heal our soil. To heal soil, we need to understand it.” - Dr. Christine Jones

** SPECIAL NOTE**

This will be Dr. Christine Jones LAST WORKSHOP EVER as she is retiring at the end of June. We are honored to be hosting her for this big moment and hope you can join us to celebrate this incredibly well-deserved accomplishment with Christine.

After a 5 year hiatus, Dr. Christine Jones is coming back to the United States and back to Paicines Ranch for this two-day workshop hosted by the Paicines Ranch Learning Center.

Christine draws from a truly amazing depth of understanding about soil ecology and presents in a manner that is interactive and dynamic. She has a unique ability to make complex systems easily understandable and relevant and has been one of the most powerful influences on the success of our management practices here at Paicines Ranch. So much so, that this is her fifth workshop with us and she always ‘packs the house’ with an equally amazing crowd.

“Soil is an extraordinary, under-appreciated and misunderstood ecosystem. Soil health not only underpins agricultural productivity but also influences watershed function, water quality and the atmospheric water cycle, key driver of earth’s climate. The abundance, vitality and diversity of life in the soil is linked to the abundance, vitality and diversity of almost every other living thing, including birds in the sky and the critters that dwell in rivers, lakes and the margins of the sea.

In short, to heal the planet we must heal our soil. To heal soil, we need to understand it.”

- Dr. Christine Jones in Creating a Flourishing Soil Microbiome

Come learn and understand all of the mysteries and complexities of soil with us in this two-day workshop!
